The six hour bus ride on the steep, dirt, windy mountain roads was actually and suprisingly enjoyable, and this is coming from someone who is prone to car sickness. But the combination of stunning views, fresh mountain air, 100 foot drop offs and bus full of indeginous people, I was fully distracted. The Chugchilan valley is vast and lush, and full of the steepest farms I have ever seen in my life.
There are tall, snow covered peeks, plunging valleys and small adobe homes. Here are a few shots in the valley.
