So instead we traveled to a lake two hours from the city. A place very popular for kite surfing and wind surfing- a place that if your not rich is not much fun since most of the activities include riding around on motorized vehicles. A beautiful view but a kind of Lake Havasu, Lake Powell kind of feel. But still nice to get away.

This was the cabin we stayed at the second night, it was a cute A-frame on the edge of the lake but it was the house of hell in the end. As soon as it was dark mosquitoes came out in herds, we had to seek refuge under the covers leaving just the heads out to breathe- bad mistake....our foreheads and even eye lids were riddled with bites. An long and miserable night, drum and base music blared from across the lake till 5am, mosquitoes ate us alive and large unknown animals crawled in between the walls, scraping their claws along the wood. At first light we were out of there!

love the updates and photos- take some photos of the food. miss you and take care.
ReplyDeleteWow! Lovin' it... so glad you decided to do a blog. Can't wait to come visit. Makes me feel pretty posh despite our homelessness and own unconventional lifestyle. Looks like Errol will be right at home with all the street urchins. Love and miss you guys....
