Dinner Party

Friday Night after a day of meetings with parents and a small nervous breakdown
due to my inability to adapt to the culture and its chaos, we went home and cooked our first real homemade meal in Colombia and invited 9 people over to share it with us. All of this seemed like a terrible idea at the time, since all I really wanted to do was sleep. But with each glass a wine the night improved.

I made my moms sauce and meatballs and boiled enough pasta for a small army. The food was amazing- finally something besides rice and meat. My guests were delighted and it was a fun night of eating, drinking and games.

Faded and loving it

This video is of me trying to play a dice game in Spanish- which is apparently way too complicated for someone who has worked all day, suffered a mini-breakdown, prepared an Italian dinner for nine and oh ya....drank a bottle of wine. My perplexed state is great.
